We are enjoying the new scoreboard, made possible by a generous donation from Whirlpool. Phil Harbolt of Harbolt Electrical & Alarms, a longtime annual team sponsor, provided the labor, materials, and know how to remove the old scoreboard, install the new one and get it up and running.
Our ground crew provided some needed help. Speaking of
our ground crew, we were able to convince the Marion Parks Dept. to let us mow the field and do the pre-game field preparation for every game night. They in turn were willing
to reduce our game fees by almost 70%. That is a savings to
us of close to $1500 for this season. Thanks to our ground
crew for their faithful service and efforts, Bigford ball field
has never looked better.

MSSA 2026 40+ 14" Big Ball Fall Ball
From Max Gerber - Players must turn 40 by December 31, 2026. Games will be on Wednesdays starting in September and ending in October 2026. Players form and Players fee of $35 must be turned in before July 1st, 2026. Coaches are needed and teams will be drafted to try to ensure that teams will be evenly matched and not stacked. Rules will be the same as 50s league - with the exception of using a 14" softball. Example: ASA/USA bat age 40 to 57, SSUSA/SENIOR bats for 58 and older, ect...
